Twenty-five years ago I had the opportunity to run the NYC Marathon with my daughter, Emily.  In running these 26.2 miles, we raised money for Swim Across The Sound- a non-profit that supports cancer patients.

Now at the age of 75, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to train and swim alongside my 15 year old granddaughter, Norah, in a two-mile ocean swim across Narragansett Bay. On July 19th, we'll participate in this ocean swim through Save the Bay, a non--profit that helps raise money to protect and improve the Narragansett Bay and has been in existence for 50 years. 

Our fundraising financial obligation is $400/ swimmer but we are trying to raise as much as possible through the generous support of family and friends. This organization helps keep our coastline clean and that's a cause we can all stand behind!
