Hello Everyone,

Thanks for visiting my personal page for the Save the Bay Swim. The money raised with this event supports the ongoing efforts of the Save the Bay organization's clean-up of Narragansett Bay. We'll be swimming a little over 2 miles across Narragansett Bay parallel to the north side of the Newport Pell Bridge. We assemble at the Navy base where we get numbered and checked in. Them , weather permitting, we swim. That's it, really. It's taken me just over an hour the last four times. I'm going to think fast thoughts, but it'll probably take me about that long this year as well. I do most of my training swims right in Potter's Cove, which, coincidentally, is where the swim ends. Anyway, I greatly appreciate any contribution you can make in my name to help support this worthy cause. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. Come join us on Saturday August 8th if you've the time. It's the 50th anniversary of the Save the Bay swim this year. I understand they've a bit of a bigger than usual celebration planned for after the swim, as a result.
