Dixon Demogorgons
The Dixon Street Demogorgans formed out of a love for biology, conservation, and swimming. Caroline and Angie, fellow biologists, formed a friendship over science and swimming. The two swimmers are excited for the challenge of swimming across the Narragansett Bay for the first time on August 8th.
Since 1977, this event has been critical for raising money to support clean up and restoration efforts in the Narragansett Bay.
The swimmers are supported by Phil and Maryann - the kayaker brother/sister duo extrordinaire. Phil spent his career as an environmental engineer and has worked with Save the Bay on conservation initiatives. Maryann is a lover of nature and outdoor adventures and has supported many conservation organizations over the years.
Together, the team (named after a tenacious yet dark character in "Stranger Things") are excited to give back and support the health of the Narragansett Bay together.

The Swim is August 8th at 8:50 am, starting in Newport. We are hoping to finish by 10:45 am in Potter's Cove in Jamestown. There will be a post-event party from 9:30-11:30 at the finish line at 260 Conanicus Ave in Potter's Cove. It is recommended to carpool to the lot in Jamestown.
