Welcome to my 2026 Save The Bay Swim page!
Dear family and friends,
Congratulations to Save the Bay and all the swimmers and donors for making this event so spectacular!
The day of the swim was sunny and warm and the swim conditions were perfect, warm water with a little chop and light currents. My swimming partner, Rachel Balaban, and I set out slowly from the Navy Base in Newport and began our swim to Jamestown. We stopped at our usual place, the red and green buoy, to look at the bridge and to feel the magnitude of this special experience!
When we swam in to the beach at the toll booth, I was reminded of how each swim is such a unique experience no matter how many times you swim. We were greeted by family, friends and fellow swimmers and my daughter, Rebecca, and her two children, Oliver and Alyssum with these amazing signs! At the end of the award ceremony, I was given my 35 year plaque along with 2 other 35ers! I am humbled by this and by the amazing support I have received from you, my sponsors!
With much appreciation and thanks,
Liz Minifie
